"We have no greater joy than to hear that our children are walking in the truth."

3 John 1:4

Our Lord Jesus went out of His way to minister to the children around Him. As a local expression of His body, Westminster seeks to reach out to children with that same Gospel-centered love. We invite you to partner with us as we seek to make the Good News of God's love known even to the littlest of these.

Stay connected to the Westminster Children's Ministry at www.wpckids.com or through our Facebook Page.

Nursery

We strive to provide a safe, fun environment where every child is loved and cared for in the name of Jesus. We see the nursery as an important ministry to our littlest ones and their parents. The nursery is available during all three worship services, on Wednesday and Sunday evenings and during many special events and services.  Our routine includes Bible lesson/story, songs, free play, snack, and lots of love. If you have any questions, contact Amber Wall.

Sunday School

We believe that parents are the most important part of a child's spiritual development. Westminster's Sunday school programs are designed to come alongside parents with resources to lead their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord Jesus. Each week, the children meet in a large group (preschool and elementary are separate) to learn the "Big God Story" in an interactive, multi-media session. The children then break up into smaller groups based on grade for further discussion, games, and activities.

Preschool-aged children meet in the Multi-Purpose Building. Elementary-aged children (grades 1-5) meet in Westminster Hall, room 104. If you have any questions, contact Tina Fussell, our preschool coordinator; or Heather Suskin, our elementary coordinator.

Awana

Awana helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Awana Clubs for children in preschool through middle school meet on Sunday nights from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Please contact one of our club directors below if you are interested in enrolling your children in Awana, or contact the Awana Coordinator Tina Fussell.

Kid's Choir

The Westminster Children's Choir seeks to inspire children to worship our Creator with abandon and passion. Once we have experienced the transforming love of Jesus Christ, we should take delight in singing His praises! We long to help parents train their children to worship God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. We meet Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30 p.m. in the rooms listed below. If you have questions, contact the Children's Choir director Laura Phillips.
  • 3K – Meets in the Multi-Purpose Building, rooms 15 and 16.
  • 4K – Meets in the Multi-Purpose Building, rooms 13 and 16.
  • 5K – Meets in the Multi-Purpose Building, rooms 7 and 8.
  • 1st - 5th Grade – Meets in Westminster Hall, room 104

Volunteer!

Do you know how important our volunteers are to this ministry? It takes over 300 people to serve the precious children God has entrusted to us here at WPC. Please prayerfully consider how you can partner with us to be the hands and feet of Jesus to his children. We especially have need at this time for workers in the nursery on Sunday mornings and in Awana on Sunday evenings. Please click here for more information on how you can get involved.
