Who We Are
Westminster Presbyterian Church exists to better our world by following Jesus.
From the time of Adam’s great rebellion against God, God has been on a mission to restore all that was lost in the fall--relationship with God, relationship with each other, and relationship with God’s creation. We are called to join him to bring that about.
But we will fail in that mission unless we first follow Jesus, the One who calls us to worship him as our God, learn from him as our teacher, imitate him as our example, obey him as our Lord, trust him as our Savior, and enjoy him as our friend. That’s why we focus on three things at Westminster--we worship together, grow together in life groups studying God’s word, and serve together in our church, our city, and our world.
Westminster Presbyterian Church began in 1974, when a group of committed and visionary followers of Christ stepped out in faith to start a new congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America. From the beginning, the congregation has been committed to the Bible and to holistic ministry.
In the ensuing years, Westminster has sought to bless the community and the world by proclaiming the gospel here and abroad, establishing a retirement community, a Christian School, a community foundation, a sports ministry, and an arts academy. Now, perhaps more than ever before, we want to serve the community God has placed us in by serving God where we live, work, and play.
